Pele has also been recognized as the greatest soccer player in the history of the sport. Julien’s will be offering items from one of NASCAR’s most well-known families when fire suits of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. hit the auction block in the Icons and Idols 2014: Sports auction. Earnhardt is regarded as one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time, with 76 career victories and seven NASCAR Winston Cup Championships, which is tied for the most all time with Richard Petty.
Property from the collection of paddle tennis legend Sol Hauptman will also be featured in the Icons and Idols 2014: Sports auction. Hauptman has been referred to as “the Babe Ruth of Paddle Tennis.” Hauptman won his first national paddle tennis title at age 17, and he won the men’s National Doubles Championship in paddle tennis for 28 consecutive years.
